• This update brings the Communicator 2007 R2 version number to 3.5.6907.82 (.82 from the last update which was .56).

Office Communications Server 2007 R2

• There are only 3 new updates and a cumulative server update installer is available.
• Note the one update for the database backend (Update for Standard/Enterprise edition Server Back End – KB 977349) will NOT be installed by the cumulative installer, and needs to be manually installed.

Até que esta questão esteja resolvida, sugiro que você não instale esta atualização, ou apenas a instale após certificar-se que ela não causará uma paralisação em seu ambiente.  Atualizações de segurança são muito importantes, e uma vez que este problema seja resolvido, você deve implantar esta atualização para todos os seus servidores de LCS/OCS.

Foi percebido que após a aplicação deste hotfix uma série de problemas podem ser acarretados.

Problema 1:
Failure
[0xC3EC78D8] Failed to read the Office Communications Server version information. This can happen if the computer clock is not set to correct date and time.

Problema 2:

The evaluation period for Microsoft Office Live Communication Server 2005 has expired. Obtain the released version of this product and upgrade to the non-evaluation version by running setup.exe

Problema 3:

The evaluation period for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 has expired. Please upgrade from the evaluation version to the full released version of the product.

Problema 4:

The service is shutting down due to an internal error.
Error Code: C3E93C23 (SIPPROXY_E_INVALID_INSTALLATION_DATA)
Cause: Check the previous entries in the event log for the failure reason.

Caso você já tenha instalado este KB remova-o para que os serviços voltem a ficar operacionais.
